Hotel Laguna Verde is situated abt. 18 km south of Valparaiso/Chile. It is only 200 m away from the Pacific beach and thus an appropriate place either to pass
a relaxing and economic holiday at the seaside or to start excursions to other interesting destinations, for example to Mendoza/Argentina or to Isla Negra (Pablo Neruda). For romantic moments a
visit to the old harbour city Valparaiso would be the right thing. The fine and still payable restaurants of Vina del Mar are looking forward to your visit.

Some 18 km south of Valparaiso, the coast curves into a small bay, sheltering the tiny settlement
Laguna Verde. Hemmed in by steep, green hills, its golden beach is strikingly beautiful.
It’s a quiet, peaceful spot to lie by the ocean, and makes an easy day-trip from Valparaiso,
forty minutes away by bus. Should you want to stay, Hotel & Gasthaus Laguna Verde is nicely situated. For eating, there are a couple of snack bars and small restaurants.
At the beach, fishermen sells glistening fish. You can observe their activity, safe in the
knowledge that your lunch is only a few hours dead.
Try out fishing or explore the beautiful landscape on horse-back or just relax.

Laguna Verde nace producto de la subdivision de la Hacienda “la Laguna”. Su nombre de pila se
lo debe a la misma y su apellido; gracias a la lugarenos; que al miraria desde los cerros, sobre todo en primavera ; creian ver una Laguna Verde; debido a su frondosa vegetacion.
Laguna Verde; permanece apacible; rustica y sus playas, no tienen contaminacion, ni atochamientos
vehiculares. Sus rincones de belleza primitiva; que nace cada dia con el canto de las aves y mueren lentamente al llegar al crepusculo; permieten revivir a la madre naturaleza; lejos del “Mundanal ruido”; pero a
solo 15 km de la civilizacion.
La belleza natural; la soledad de sus acantilados; sus nomerosas caletas; sus bosques; invitan a
grandes caminatas y al reencuentro interior, como a la practica de la pesca; caza; buceo o caza submarina o simplemente a sentarse en algun rincon y veria dormir cuando llega la tarde.
Lo anterior a hecho que lleguen numerosos artistas e intelectuales a este lugar y su Junta de
Vecinos fundada el ano 1952; se a propuesto hacer un gran desafio darla a conocer; pero que respeten nuestra identidad y nos ayuden a conservar nuestro paraiso.
